About Kabuki UK

About Us

Founded by dedicated volunteers who are parents of children with Kabuki syndrome, Kabuki UK is here to support and address the challenges faced by families dealing with this rare condition. Since 2012, we have been the first and only UK-based organisation providing crucial support and advocacy for those affected by Kabuki syndrome.

Our mission is to raise awareness of Kabuki syndrome, offer guidance and support to newly-diagnosed families, and create opportunities for connection and joy through our events. We strive to foster a community where families can share their experiences and find comfort in knowing they are not alone.

Kabuki UK's Aims

At Kabuki UK, our mission is centred around several key goals that drive our efforts to support families and enhance understanding of Kabuki syndrome:

Raise Awareness

To increase recognition of Kabuki syndrome among the medical and research communities.

Global Collaboration

Work closely with other Kabuki Syndrome advocacy groups worldwide to unify efforts and share knowledge.

Organise Events

To plan and promote both social and medical events, offering families the opportunity to connect with each other and consult with experts.

Provide Grants

Establish a system of grants to help families acquire essential equipment that may not be available through other means.

Fundraising

Engage in both regional and national fundraising activities to sustain and expand the charity’s initiatives.

Global Reach of Kabuki Syndrome

Kabuki syndrome affects individuals and families worldwide, which is why we collaborate closely with international advocacy groups and researchers. By partnering globally, we aim to raise awareness, share vital research insights, and explore potential treatments, all of which enhance the quality of life for those living with Kabuki syndrome in the UK.

Through these partnerships, we bring the latest information and support to our community, ensuring that no one faces this rare condition alone.
